It’s the team work for a common goal.
“Grupetto” is used in the Tour de France meaning ALL riders finish in the time needed to ride the next day.
We are an organized unstructured group that cares about each other, ride each weekend, help several charities, and have laughs along the way. We ride in different groups with speed averages ranging from 15 mph to 24 mph. There are no dues, officers or by laws. We collectively decide our group rides, philanthropic goals, and how to achieve them. We are an eclectic group represented by many nationalities, men and women, young and tenured (ages range from 16-70). Our motto is “No one left behind.” That means you have the chance to join a group that rides each week and select a ride that matches your ability. Over time, you will become a better cyclist and make new friends. We welcome new riders with little experience (we were all there once). For more information sign up on Meetup.com/Grupetto-USA or e-mail joinus@grupetto-usa.com.
Our largest annual event has been the Mid Florida MS Citrus Ride. Over the last 5 years we have raised over $500,000 for this one group. We are also riding for UCP in the Ride Without Limits, the Diabetes Ride and CP rides. We have raised over $650,000 for charities and much more to come.
Bicycle Club: There are many Bicycle Clubs in the Tampa Bay area. However we are not a Bike Clubs. There is no membership or other requirements other than we ride with safety, friendship, fitness and philanthropy. So we have a friends mentality rather than a club mentality.
The little yellow guy Grupettito symbolizes rider safety and friendship. We have shared him with other groups in the area. Contact us for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: Participation in any Grupetto-USA event implies that you have read, understand, and agree with the group’s policies. You’ll find that information in the “About” section. Please read those pages in their entirety. Whether you are a new member, or have been with us from the beginning, you need to take a moment and read that information.
By taking part in any Grupetto-USA event, you acknowledge that you realize bicycling has inherent dangers and that you assume responsibility for yourself by participating. This means you recognize and accept responsibility for your actions and understand the potential for injury and even death. We expect new riders to choose a category ride appropriate for their skills.
Per the Electronic Records and Signatures in Commerce Act, if you join this group, you agree to ALL the terms listed.
